Belle Isle Animal Hospital

We are leaving this place, I should have done this awhile ago. I do not like the staff and their communication can be rude and insufficient. While Dr Taylor was great they need to hire new staff or train them better. I felt it’s all about money for them and felt rushed. You get charged for every little thing including a replacement surgery suit after neutering and boarding which wasn’t cheap you would think if my pup needed a new surgery suit less then 24 hours after picking him up they would just give me a replacement at no cost or a cone, but nope. I misinformed about the whole hospitalization boarding it was $ and they added $33 to administer medication after the neutering because i had my pup stay over two nights thinking he was in good hands, instead they didn’t explain the boarding costs or protocol hardly took him out and he got sick from their boarding over the weekend I have a very sick dog now. Again I feel they didn’t communicate and possibly didn’t want to disclose because extra money for them.

The staff here are amazing. They always remember me when I call and remember my two girls. I have been coming for years. When I lost my two previous babies the staff was so loving and compassionate. They care for you and your pet’s needs. I have also boarded with them a few times and the techs even showed my pictures of how well the girls did. I would highly recommend bringing your babies here for personalized care.

I cannot begin to express the care and kindness we received at Belle Isle Animal Hospital. I brought in a rescue that was in a desperate situation and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure this skinny scared dog with many infections was cared for, loved on and given a strong care plan. Today, that same dog LOVES going to the vet (what dog loves going to the vet?!), is super healthy, full of energy and I am forever grateful for their amazing care.

We have been going to Dr. Wolkow since adopting our sweet fur baby 5 years ago. The staff have been supportive and a wealth of information as we have never previously been pet owners. Our sweet girl is greeted with smiles and hugs at every visit. The office does a great job of helping remind us when check-ups need to be scheduled. We have only had positive experiences with this office and are quick to refer our friends looking for too notch care.

We love Belle Isle and have had the pleasure of seeing most of their vets for regular checkups and the occasional sick appointment. We recently saw Dr Wolkow who so compassionately handled a difficult diagnosis with one of our dogs. The staff at Belle Isle truly love their patients and demonstrate how much they care at each appointment.
